A Single Address Account is not part of your 12 words. Three causes explain nearly every case of this, in order of how often we see them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The coins were in a Single Address Account.<\/strong> The seed phrase only regenerates HD accounts. If your bitcoin sat on a single-address key, it won&#8217;t appear after a phrase restore \u2014 you need the PDF backup or the original device for that key. Check your old records for a PDF before concluding anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The phrase is valid but wrong.<\/strong> BIP39 phrases carry a checksum: the final word is partly determined by the others, so most typos get rejected outright. But if you saved more than one phrase over the years \u2014 a test wallet, an abandoned setup \u2014 you can restore a perfectly valid phrase that was never the funded one.
